Creatamax Extreme - the most advanced creatine formula today

Magnesium chelate
Creatamax Extreme contains magnesium chelated creatine, which may increase assimilation and digestion. Chelated minerals refer to nutrients that are stabilised via amino acid bonds, creating a natural transport mechanism across the intestinal. In theory, this may increase the amount of creatine absorbed and ease any digestive stress in susceptible individuals. Initial research suggests that the blend mixes well in water, is very well tolerated compared to regular creatine and may enhance the effects of creatine on muscle, strength and performance.

D-pinitol
Creatine uptake in muscle tissue is vital for the supplement to have beneficial effects on muscle growth, strength and performance. For this reason, D-pinitol has become the focus of significant scientific research (the nutrient is a form of pinitol, a natural plant extract). D-pinitol displays remarkable insulin mimicking properties, meaning it has the capacity to direct nutrients such as creatine into muscle cells at a high rate. In fact, D-pinitol is considered the insulin-like nutrient with possibly the greatest potential, a factor highlighted by two U.S. Patents (#5,550,166 and #5,827,896).
Traditionally creatine has been consumed with high levels of dextrose (high GI carb) to stimulate insulin and aid creatine uptake. However due to the insulin-like effects of D-pinitol, you can now experience full creatine uptake with fewer carbohydrates - unsurprisingly the nutrient is very popular with people wanting to avoid sugar and carbs. There's also significant research to back up the theory. In a recent study performed at Arkansas State University, scientists analysed the effects of a creatine and D-pinitol blend on creatine uptake. D-pinitol was found to aid creatine uptake just as efficiently as creatine consumed with dextrose or dextrose and protein [13].

Bioperine®
Bioperine® is a standardized piperine extract derived from the fruits of the black pepper. Bioperine does not display ergogenic effects, however the nutrient is thought to increase bioavailability of delicate nutrients. In effect, bioperine may help ensure the nutrients in Creatamax Extreme are fully utilised.

4-hydroxyisoleucine
Creatamax Extreme contains the latest cutting-edge sports nutrient, the amino acid 4-hydroxyisoleucine. The substance displays powerful "insulinotropic" properties, which many believe has taken creatine supplementation to new levels. The key to 4-hydroxyisoleucine's effects is the fact that it increases muscle cell nutrient uptake without the excessive insulin secretion witnessed with carbohydrates. A recent study reported the effects of 4-hydroxyisoleucine and dextrose compared to a dextrose-only drink, on the speed of post-training muscle glycogen re-synthesis in trained male cyclists [15]. The synergy of 4-hydroxyleucine and carbohydrate, increased the rate of glycogen re-synthesis by 63%, compared to dextrose only. However, what's even more significant is the fact that the combined 4-hydroxyisoleucine and carb blend achieved this effect while eliciting a reduction in insulin secretion (compared to dextrose only). In effect, the study suggests that processes which in the past have required high levels of carbohydrate driven insulin release (including creatine uptake and glycogen re-synthesis) may be achieved with a reduced quantity of carbs and reduced insulin concentrations. 4-hydroxyisoleucine may therefore enhance creatine uptake, boost muscle glycogen re-synthesis, and promote nutrient storage in muscle cells.
